The Move to Columbus program provides a $5,000 incentive to remote workers earning at least $75,000 annually. Applicants must live at least 75 miles outside the city and relocate to Muscogee County within six months. 4. Topeka, Kansas – Choose Topeka – Up to $15,000
Choose Topeka provides up to $15,000 to individuals who rent or purchase a home in Shawnee County within a year of moving. An additional $5,000 is available for returning residents or military veterans transitioning out of service. Applicants must be employed by a participating employer offering relocation assistance to qualify. The program seeks to attract new residents and stimulate the local economy.
5. West Virginia – Ascend WV – $12,000 + Free Outdoor Recreation
Ascend WV offers a $12,000 incentive to remote workers willing to relocate to designated communities in West Virginia. The incentive is paid in equal monthly installments over two years. Recipients can choose to receive the remaining payments in a lump sum upon purchasing a home in the state. Additionally, participants receive a year of free outdoor recreation, including activities like rafting and skiing, valued at over $2,500. 6. Mississippi County, Arkansas – Work Here, Live Here – Up to $50,000
The Work Here, Live Here program offers up to $50,000 for purchasing or building a home in Mississippi County. The incentive is available to manufacturing workers employed by participating companies. Applicants must agree to live in the county for at least four years and remain employed with the same employer during that period.
