Content Creator Narrates How His ‘Gorilla’ Identity Made Him Rich, Not His Looks

A Nigerian content creator known as Chekwasmichaels on Instagram has revealed that switching from a “human identity” to a gorilla persona completely turned his life around — financially and personally.

Speaking about his journey, the creator explained that Nigeria’s economy is tough and people need to think outside the box.

“Everywhere is hard, there’s no money, people are struggling. So I advise people to do whatever they know can fetch them money legally. As far as it’s clean, they should go for it,” he said.

He narrated that in 2023, he ditched his regular human identity and began pushing out creative content around a ‘gorilla personality.’ Within two years, the gamble paid off.

“Between 2023 and 2025, I can tell you how much money I’ve made from this gorilla content,” he added.

According to him, being called “gorilla” in public no longer bothers him. Instead, he embraces it.

“When people call me gorilla, I say thank you, human being. Because when I was a human, I had no money. What’s the essence of being a fine boy without money?”

The creator further stressed that money truly changes everything. “Now, I have a beautiful wife. When you have money, money have everything,” he said with confidence.

His unusual success story has sparked discussions online, with many Nigerians debating whether animal-inspired content could be the next big trend in the creator economy.
