Leaked Audio of Mohbad Surfaces, Claims Assault and Beating at Naira Marley’s House

New developments have emerged in the ongoing controversy involving the late Nigerian singer Mohbad and Naira Marley.

A phone conversation from the late artist has surfaced, in which Mohbad allegedly details an assault he experienced at Naira Marley’s residence before his untimely passing.

Yesterday, Naira Marley addressed the situation publicly, explaining his involvement in the case. He claimed he knew nothing about the alleged death of his ex-signee and insisted he was innocent.

In the leaked audio, Mohbad reportedly explains to a woman what happened:

“After the argument on the group chat, I went to The Marlians house to explain myself better to Naira. I met Naira at the studio, and when I was about to leave, Tunde and some other guys brought sticks and started hitting the boys that were with me. One of my friends was stripped naked, and I have the videos. I was trying to make a video when a yellow guy hit me on my face. Naira was there, and I was telling him to talk to the guys. I was surprised that Naira didn’t say anything. If I had known, I would not have gone there at all. I am always avoiding problems. My slippers were in the house, and when I was going to the house to get them, 10 of the boys started beating me.

“They injured me on my back, head, and mouth. All the small riff raffs living there too joined them, so I just had to defend myself. I didn’t know I bit anyone, but all I did was defend myself so I could leave there. The next thing they did was come online and say I was biting everyone. Am I a dog? They just scattered my whole plans for the year. I was planning to release my EP, and I felt that if I continue with this manager, I will always have the same result as from the beginning. Right now, I have been treating myself with the medications I got from the hospital.”

The leaked audio raises serious questions about the altercation and Naira Marley’s role, especially in light of his recent claims of innocence. Fans have reacted strongly online, with many calling for justice for the late singer.
