'Phyna Betrayed Me During Negotiations With Dangote Group'

In a dramatic turn of events, Nigerian activist and social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM) has issued a stark warning to the Dangote Group following the alleged abandonment of Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor, in a Lagos hospital.

Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, recently revealed that her sister Ruth was involved in a tragic accident on August 13, 2025, near Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State.

The incident allegedly involved a Dangote truck driven by an underage, unlicensed driver, resulting in the amputation of Ruth’s left leg and the risk of losing her right leg. Despite initial promises from the Dangote Group to fly Ruth abroad for medical treatment, Phyna claims the company has backtracked on its commitment, citing the need for further medical advice and ignoring her communications.

VDM, who had previously assisted Phyna during her dealings with Dangote representatives, expressed his outrage over the situation. In a recent statement, he declared:

“Even though Phyna betrayed me… if her sister loses her life, we will stop the operation of Dangote in Edo State… except if I die before that time.”

VDM further criticized Phyna for allegedly using him to gain leverage in her negotiations with Dangote, only to abandon him when the situation became more complex. He emphasized that his threat was not a personal vendetta but a call for accountability, urging the Dangote Group to fulfill its promises and ensure Ruth receives the necessary medical care .
