Deji Adeyanju Alleges Peter Obi’s Bribery Attempt, Says Obidient Movement More Toxic Than Boko Haram

Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanju, has made explosive allegations against the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, during an appearance on Channels Television earlier today.

Adeyanju, who has been a vocal critic of Obi, claimed that during the 2023 general election campaign, the former Anambra State governor allegedly invited him and offered him money in exchange for political support — an offer he says he turned down.

“Peter Obi is a political fraud and prostitute. He invited me during the campaign, offered me money, and I turned it down. He is not different from the politicians he pretends to be better than,” Adeyanju alleged on live TV.

The activist also went further to describe Obi’s supporters, popularly known as Obidients, as the “most toxic movement” the country has ever seen. According to him, they are intolerant of dissenting voices and attack anyone who refuses to align with their political views.

This statement comes after reports that Peter Obi had written a letter to Adeyanju, instructing him to file a lawsuit if he truly believes Obi has defamed his character.

The brewing clash between both men has sparked heated debate across social media, with many Nigerians divided over Adeyanju’s claims and Obi’s response. While some argue that Adeyanju is simply seeking relevance, others insist that Obi should publicly address the bribery allegation.

For now, the political drama continues to unfold, with many waiting to see whether Adeyanju will take Obi to court or if both parties will settle the matter outside the legal arena.
