May Edochie’s Ex-Lawyer Fires Back, Calls Her Manipulative and a Bloody Liar Amid ₦1B Lawsuit

The drama between actress May Edochie and her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, has taken yet another dramatic turn.

Ugwuonye recently went public with a detailed account of their fallout, sharing what he claims are 14 lies allegedly told by May, ranging from the beginnings of her marriage to her ongoing disputes involving Yul Edochie.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Ugwuonye painted a picture of a marriage marked by tension from the very start. According to him, Yul never wanted to marry May after she became pregnant, and their relationship lacked genuine love. Their first child arrived when Yul was 23 and May 25, setting a tone he claims “colored the entire tenor of the marriage.”

Ugwuonye also addressed May’s alleged awareness of Yul’s relationship with Judy, asserting that May condoned it initially but later attempted to manipulate the situation using bloggers when Judy got pregnant. He claims this led to Yul announcing he was a proud polygamist.

Other allegations include claims of infidelity by May long before 2022, false police reports about Yul threatening her with a gun, and disputes over finances. Ugwuonye insists that May had no money and that Yul was the family’s breadwinner, even providing funds to start her store and support her business ventures. He also questioned May’s account of their child’s death, noting that she never pursued an autopsy or disclosed key details.

Legal matters were another flashpoint. Ugwuonye explains how May insisted on hiring Femi Falana, despite his initial refusal. He claims to have documentation of all communications and billing disputes, including arguments over fees. He also disputes May’s claims about being left with three bank loans, insisting Yul shouldn’t be held accountable for loans she took without his knowledge.

According to Ugwuonye, May initially wanted to stay in the marriage and that divorce was a last-minute decision. He further alleges that Yul consistently paid child support, contrary to her narrative that she was the breadwinner.

Ugwuonye’s post paints May as someone more focused on growing her brand than seeking justice, manipulating supporters of “May Nation” to attack perceived opponents, and misrepresenting communications with others, including a person named Yinka.

He concludes by calling May a “cold-blooded liar” and claims that their fallout occurred after he attempted to stop her alleged campaign of misinformation. According to Ugwuonye, he was later targeted through fake accounts after resigning from her legal team.

The feud continues to capture attention online, leaving fans divided over the credibility of the claims. As the saga unfolds, social media remains abuzz with debates about truth, manipulation, and the public lives of Nigeria’s celebrity figures.
