“I Didn’t Leak My S*x Tape” – Tiwa Savage Breaks Silence, Slams Rumors

In 2021, Tiwa Savage was blackmailed after an intimate video involving her was leaked. She refused to pay the blackmailer.

During a recent interview with Hot 97, Tiwa Savage opened up about the emotional toll the leak took on her:

“I was bashed for that video… A lot of people think that I was just trying to get sympathy. Not just regular people, people with platforms were quite horrible and blamed me.”

She also spoke candidly about how people assumed she leaked it intentionally — “for relevance.” She dismissed those assumptions with sharp humor:

“If I were doing that, I’d have used better lighting, lingerie, and my facial expressions would have been on point. I would have been intentional about it.”

Tiwa didn’t just face rumors. She was vilified, slut-shamed, and accused of trying to use the leak for publicity. Despite being on the receiving end of criticism, she stood her ground. She pointed out that many acted as though she were “the first woman to have sex,” making her the target of moral policing.
