Mohbad’s Aunty Folashade Blasts Wunmi, Says She Destroyed Singer’s Glory

The family drama surrounding late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has resurfaced after his aunty, Mrs. Folasade, launched a scathing attack on the singer’s widow, Omowunmi.

In a viral video making rounds on social media, Folasade accused Omowunmi of moving on too quickly after the death of her husband, questioning her loyalty and accusing her of contributing nothing to Mohbad’s life before his rise to fame.

In the emotional rant, Folasade claimed Omowunmi has failed to show respect to the late singer’s memory. She said:

“You surround yourself with people that are giving you bad advice and you don’t even have a good mother. Instead of you to be mourning your so-called husband, you are just doing rubb!sh. You can be insulting everyone but you dare not insult me.”

She also recounted the pain she felt during Mohbad’s burial, accusing Omowunmi of lacking empathy:

“I wept bitterly when Mohbad was buried inside the rain but you, the wife, have moved on quickly. How do you even feel when someone plays Mohbad’s songs beside you? If your son is truly for Mohbad, you think he will ever forgive you?”

“You Didn’t Enter Mohbad’s House With Any Money”

Going further, Folasade alleged that Omowunmi only gained fame and fortune by marrying the singer:

“You didn’t enter Mohbad’s house with any money. You met glory in his house and you destroyed it. Who knew your family? I visited you and Mohbad one day and I advised you not to let anything happen to Mohbad as if I knew what you wanted to do. I leave you to God.”

The video has sparked heated conversations online, with many Nigerians divided over Folasade’s comments.

While some believe the aunty is being unfair to Omowunmi, others argue that unresolved tensions within Mohbad’s family are finally coming to light.

The singer’s death in September 2023 remains a painful topic in Nigeria, with ongoing calls for justice and clarity surrounding the circumstances of his passing.

For now, the family feud continues to play out publicly, adding yet another layer of drama to the tragic story of Mohbad’s short but impactful life.
