Shock in Asaba as Armed Robber Attacks Pregnant Woman and Children, R@pe Victims

Residents of Asaba, Delta State, have been left in shock after a disturbing incident involving an armed robbery attack on a heavily pregnant woman and her children.

According to reports, human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu revealed earlier this morning that the incident took place at Julie’s Staff Quarters in Asaba. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the robber stormed the woman’s residence late at night. During the attack, valuables were stolen, and the woman was subjected to a horrifying sexual assault in the presence of her children.

The heartbreaking incident has sparked widespread anger and fear in the community, with many calling on security agencies to intensify patrols and provide better protection for vulnerable residents.

Community leaders have also condemned the act, describing it as both inhumane and a grave threat to women and children. Local NGOs and women’s rights groups are urging authorities to ensure the victim receives medical care, counseling, and justice.

This unfortunate case once again highlights the rising concerns over insecurity in parts of Delta State, where residents have repeatedly appealed for stronger safety measures.
