VeryDarkMan Narrowly Escapes Kidnappers, Rescues Man Shot During Attack (Video)

Nigerian human rights activist Martins Vincent popularly known as VeryDarkMan has shared a shocking video on his Instagram page, showing the terrifying moment he and others inside a moving vehicle reportedly came under attack from suspected kidnappers along a busy expressway.

The video, posted about two hours ago, captured the chaos as the car he was traveling in came under heavy gunfire from men believed to be armed bandits suspected to be Fulani herdsmen kidnappers.

In the clip, multiple gunshots can be heard as the vehicle sped forward, refusing to stop despite the attackers blocking part of the road.

The armed men were said to have tried to force them into submission, but the driver pushed through at full speed, narrowly saving those inside from being abducted.

Unfortunately, one passenger was reportedly hit by a bullet during the attack. The extent of the victim’s injuries is not yet confirmed, but witnesses say he received urgent help immediately after the escape.

Eyewitnesses claimed the suspected kidnappers eventually fled into the bush after their attempt failed. Their retreat came after realizing the vehicle they targeted would not stop despite sustained gunfire.

Since VeryDarkMan posted the video, social media has erupted with reactions. Many Nigerians have praised the activist’s courage and expressed relief that he escaped alive. Others have raised concerns about the rising spate of kidnapping and insecurity on Nigerian highways, urging the government to act swiftly.
