Man Allegedly Kills Ex-Wife for Investing His Money on New Lover While in Prison

A man who had just been released from prison quickly became a wanted fugitive after allegedly killing his ex-wife out of jealousy.

The incident occurred on October 7, 2023, when Armond Hilton entered a North Philadelphia barbershop on the 2500 block of West Lehigh Avenue and reportedly fired two shots at his ex-wife, Nitiffa Wade.

Hilton had previously been arrested for undisclosed crimes and served several years in prison, though the exact length of his sentence is not public.

By the time he was released, Wade had divorced him, blocked him from contacting her, started a new relationship, and built a brighter future, leaving Hilton sidelined and reportedly broke.

Hilton claims that the funds Wade used to improve her life were originally his. Before serving his prison term, he had trusted her with his money, business, and properties.

Police have now listed Hilton as wanted for murder and robbery. Officers responded to a call of a person with a gun at the 2500 block of West Lehigh Avenue shortly after 1:45 p.m. on October 7.

Upon arrival, authorities found Wade, 40, unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and torso.
