Happie Boys Return to Church, Apologize to Pastor Chibuzor After Scholarship Drama

The Happie Boys, former security guards who gained viral fame for their dance videos, have returned to Omega Power Ministries (OPM) to publicly apologize to Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, two years after their deportation from Cyprus.

In 2022, the Happie Boys were sent to Cyprus on a scholarship by Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere after their viral dance video led to their dismissal from their security job at a fast-food restaurant.

However, their time in Cyprus took a turn as they reportedly mismanaged the funds provided for their education and lifestyle.

When the scholarship funding was halted, the Happie Boys publicly criticized Apostle Chibuzor, leading to a strained relationship and their eventual deportation back to Nigeria.

During this period, they alleged that a third party had convinced them to attack the pastor, promising assistance in relocating to the United States.

In a recent video shared on social media, the Happie Boys expressed deep remorse for their actions, stating:

“We are here to say a very big sorry to Nigerians, most especially to our daddy, Papa OPM Worldwide. We know that we have wronged him and we have admitted our mistakes. Please find a place in your heart to forgive us. We promise that such a video will not repeat itself again.”

They further acknowledged the pain caused by their previous actions and asked for forgiveness, emphasizing that they had been misled by external influences.

The apology has sparked mixed reactions online. While some Nigerians have commended the boys for taking responsibility and seeking forgiveness, others have criticized them for their earlier actions and questioned the sincerity of their apology.

Their return to OPM to apologize marks a new chapter, one focused on growth and making amends.
