Davido Becomes GRAMMY Voting Member for 2026 Awards

Afrobeats superstar Davido has unlocked yet another milestone, and this time, it’s not about topping charts or selling out arenas—it’s about shaping the future of global music.
The Recording Academy, organisers of the prestigious GRAMMY Awards, has officially welcomed Davido as one of its voting members for the 2026 GRAMMY Awards.
This means the “Timeless” hitmaker will not only walk the red carpet—he’ll also have a say in which artists and songs make it to the nominations list and who eventually wins.
He joins a fresh list of newly inducted members including Ravyn Lenae, Offsetyrn, Jessie Reyez, and Zac Brown Band, as announced by the Academy on Instagram.
Davido described the achievement as a game-changer, highlighting how important it is for African voices to be heard in the global music space.
From Lagos to Los Angeles, Davido keeps proving that Afrobeats is here to stay. His GRAMMY voting membership isn’t just a personal win—it’s a victory for African music.
And who knows? His vote in 2026 could be the one that finally pushes more African artists to GRAMMY glory.]
