Ned Nwoko Debunks Claims of Domestic Violence, Defends His Polygamous Lifestyle

Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North, has responded to the growing speculation about his marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, following the circulation of a viral video showing the actress in tears.
In the video, Regina Daniels appeared visibly emotional as she said she could no longer “stand the violence,” adding, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a queen.” The footage sparked widespread reactions online and led to allegations of domestic abuse.
During an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Sunday, the businessman and politician firmly denied the claims, describing them as false. “No, come on. You know I am not a violent person. I respect my wives and love them and my kids,” he said.
Nwoko also spoke openly about his polygamous lifestyle, saying it reflects his beliefs and culture. According to him, having multiple wives brings balance and stability. “I feel sorry for those who have one wife,” he said. “Just imagine standing on one leg — it’s difficult. But with two, three, or four, you’re more balanced.”
When asked whether his faith supports polygamy, the senator referenced the Old Testament and insisted that he had no regrets about his marital choices. “No, I don’t have any regret. I would do the same thing again. You should marry who you want to marry,” he added.
So far, there has been no independent confirmation or official report supporting the claims of domestic violence.
Shortly after the controversy, Regina Daniels shared photos of a new house on social media with the caption: “In my house, I am a queen. I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.”
